The film follows the simultaneously disastrous journeys of two late party-goers as they race across town to arrive before the countdown.
They both crash into the lobby with seconds to spare, but end up stuck in the lift together when the power goes out, sparking
a heartwarming and flirtatious exchange.
At the heart of the film is the Greek tradition
of turning the lights off immediately after midnight, symbolising a fresh start and welcoming
in the new year after a moment of reflection in the dark.
